Theresa Clark

Theresa M. Clark has 18 years of experience helping injured people and their families by trying to right the wrongs that were done to them through someone else’s negligence and wrongful acts.
Theresa Clark was selected to Super Lawyers Rising Stars as well as the Top Rated Personal Injury Attorney in Melville, NY. The designation means that she is a top-rated attorney as recognized by peers. She was selected to Rising Stars for 2021.
Prior to being the principal of the Clark Law Group, P.C., Theresa worked her way up from being a paralegal, to office manager, associate attorney, and is currently a partner in a thriving law firm. There was a turning point in her life that led to Theresa on her journey to becoming an attorney; she was involved in a terrible accident as a pedestrian 13 years ago and subsequently became a plaintiff herself.
Through this experience, she has the firsthand knowledge and offers compassion and understanding of what it takes to be a plaintiff. Theresa’s focus is on helping the injured parties and their loved ones; she devotes her time and gives personal attention to each and every one of her clients. Theresa, along with her team, has created a firm that has the experience, knowledge and is known to aggressively fight to compensate the injured parties and attempt to make them whole again from a monetary standpoint.
The Clark Law Group, P.C. litigates in both personal injury and medical malpractice cases that concentrate on failure to diagnose, diagnosis errors, doctor and hospital negligence, surgical errors, wrongful death, and brain-damaged child cases. Through the years Theresa has developed professional relationships and has access to a large network of medical experts, investigators, forensic engineers, accident reconstruction analysts, and economists.

Theresa received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Long Island University, graduating Summa Cum Laude and a Juris Doctor from the Jacob Fuchsberg Law Center of Touro College. Theresa is a member of Phi Betta Kappa, New York State Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Woman’s Bar Association, Suffolk Bar Association, and Queens Bar Association. She is a loving wife and she and her husband have three beautiful children. Personally, Theresa is a leader in her community and along with her family volunteer as respite workers in a homeless shelter; she is a Girl Scout leader, holds a council position to represent the youth in her community, and is a board member of the PTA at her children’s schools. Theresa prides herself in her legal knowledge and experience as well as her compassion for others, she is dedicated to clients and offers each client direct attention while still providing high-quality legal representation.

William J Maniatis

Now in his 20th year of practice, William J. Maniatis (Bill to his friends and clients) is an accomplished trial lawyer who has obtained millions of dollars in verdicts and settlements for his clients over the years. Bill began his career as a criminal defense lawyer for the Legal Aid Society where he gained substantial trial experience defending individuals who could not afford to pay for their own defense. Bill’s dedication to representing the individual against the interests of big business continues to this day. As an accomplished trial attorney Bill has earned a reputation as an aggressive litigator and trial lawyer representing individuals who have been injured through the negligence of others. Bill has obtained significant jury verdicts and settlements for his clients in both the State of New York as well as in the State of New Jersey, with several of his results having been reported in the New York Verdict Search publication. An advocate for justice, Bill’s substantial efforts on behalf of his clients have resulted in significant monetary awards for the injured individuals that he has represented, including being one of less than 1% of attorneys in America with a verdict of a million dollars.

Bill’s commitment and dedication to providing his clients with high-quality legal representation have been his hallmark. Bill has a Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School and a Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law in 1995 where he was honored with the William F. Levine Award for the top trial advocate in his graduating class. Bill began his legal career at the New York County Legal Aid Society before moving on to his chosen career in civil litigation. After training with two of New York City’s personal injury firms, he opened William J. Maniatis LLC in 2003. He is admitted to the bars of the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. He is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the United States District Court of New Jersey. Bill’s experience and reputation as an outstanding trial lawyer does not end in the courtroom. Bill has been a guest lecturer on the subject of trial advocacy at Cardozo University. Bill is a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly The American Trial Lawyers Associations, ATLA). Mr. Maniatis is an adjunct professor of trial techniques at the Maurice A. Deane Hofstra School of Law National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) program and has been named to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Trial Lawyers in America since 2014 and Super Lawyers since 2013.
